Syracuse Mets News Release
Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Chiefs, triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, will host Breast Cancer Awareness Day to raise money for the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer on May 9 when the team hosts the Gwinnett Braves at 2:00pm.
To celebrate Mother's Day, Chiefs players and coaches will wear special pink jerseys and hats for the game. The hats will be autographed after the game and will be included in a silent auction that will take place on the concourse during the game. The silent auction will also feature Vera Bradley merchandise along with sports memorabilia provided by Charity Auctions. The jerseys will be available for outright purchase and through the Chiefs' nightly jersey raffles.
Fans can also purchase tickets to a post-game *"Pink Dinner Party"* in the Hank Sauer Room with Chiefs players. The buffet dinner price is $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 & younger and includes a Reserved Seat game ticket. The menu will include: Virginia baked ham, honey dipped fried chicken, red skin mashed potatoes, green beans, strawberry spinach salad, cookies, strawberry shortcake, pink cupcakes, punch, soft drinks, and coffee. Reservations for the dinner party are required and can be made by calling 315-474-7833.
Proceeds from the silent auction, Pink Dinner Party, and jersey sales will benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer, which was founded in 1998 and is focused on directly providing financial support to the critical research needed to understand and eradicate breast cancer.
Tickets for all remaining home games can be purchased in person at the Chiefs ticket office, by calling 315-474-7833, or online at SyracuseChiefs.com.
