April 23, 2015 - International League (IL1)
Syracuse Mets News Release
The Syracuse Chiefs are pleased to announce this year's schedule of specially-themed meals in the Hank Sauer Room of Legends. Fans can attend a Saranac Craft Beer buffet, a Cinco de Mayo dinner, a Mother's Day brunch and a Father's Day Brunch this season, complete with a game ticket.
"We had an awesome response last year for our special events at the Hank Sauer Room", said general manager Jason Smorol. "With great food, great drinks and a great place to watch baseball, we wanted to give our fans even more options to join us and celebrate special days in style with the Chiefs!"
The schedule of events begins Friday, May 1st with a Saranac Craft Beer tasting and buffet, before and during the team's 7:05 game with Columbus. A "Grand Slam" dinner will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., featuring steak tips over a mushroom bed, Italian sausage and peppers, pulled-pork sandwiches, boneless chicken breast, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, cole slaw, watermelon, brownies, popcorn, cookies and potato chips. At 7:30, a Saranac beer tasting will begin with Saranac Regional Manager Jim Guyder. Fans must purchase a buffet ticket to participate in the beer tasting.
On Tuesday, May 5th, before and during the team's 7:05 game with Norfolk, the Chiefs will hold a Cinco de Mayo dinner. The dinner, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., will include chicken enchiladas, a taco bar, a nacho bar, Mexican rice, black beans, a salsa bar and a cash bar.
Sunday, May 10th, fans can celebrate Mother's Day with the Chiefs during a pregame brunch from 12 to 1:30 p.m., before and during the team's 1:05 game with Durham. The brunch menu will include chicken cordon bleu, spinach dip, vegetable frittata, au gratin potatoes, pasta primavera, mixed-green salad and coconut cream pie.
Finally, fans can join the Chiefs for a pregame Father's Day brunch on Sunday, June 21st, from 12 to 1:30 p.m., before and during the Chiefs' battle with Buffalo at 1:05. The menu will feature the "Grand Slam" combination from the Saranac Craft Beer buffet. In addition, fans can have a meet and greet with actor, author and speaker Dwier Brown, best-known for playing Ray Kinsella's father, John, in the film Field of Dreams.
The Chiefs' group sales office is currently taking reservations to these buffets at 315-474-7833. All tickets must be purchased in advanced and will not be sold on game day, in order to prepare the necessary amount of food and drink prior to each game. Fans are encouraged to buy their tickets as soon as possible, as there is a limited amount of space available.
For the Saranac Beer tasting and buffet, fans can purchase a 200-level ticket to that night's 7:05 game vs. Columbus, admission to dinner and admission to the beer tasting for $35. Those that already have a game ticket can pay $26 for the dinner and beer tasting.
For the Cinco de Mayo dinner, a dinner-and-game-ticket combination costs $30 for adults and $18 for children ages 6-12. The cost of solely admission to the dinner, for those fans that already have a game ticket, is $20 for adults and $10 for children.
Since the Mother's Day and Father's Day brunches each fall on a Family Sunday, admission costs just $10 for children ages 6-12, which includes a 200-level ticket and admission to brunch. Adults can purchase the combination for $30 or admission to the brunch, with a previously held game ticket, for $20.
Single-game tickets are still available for all Chiefs home games at syracusechiefs.com, via the ticket office at 315-474-7833 or at the NBT Bank Stadium ticket office during regular business hours.
