Switchbacks Unified Team Support Third Annual Special Olympics Polar Plunge

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC News Release
Ahead of this past Saturday's match against New Mexico United, the Switchbacks Unified athletes made their way to Rock Ledge Ranch to participate in the 2023 Westerra Credit Union Colorado Springs Polar Plunge presented by Murdoch's Ranch and Home Supply.
The event was an effort to raise money for Special Olympics Colorado and was culminated with a polar plunge, where representatives from the attending organizations could submerge in a large pool.
Switchbacks FC's mascot Ziggy and Unified Team coach Mike Reavy took the plunge in the mid 30 degree weather, showing their support for the event.
The 2023 Westerra Credit Union Colorado Springs Polar Plunge presented by Murdoch's Ranch and Home Supply raised over $85,000 this year to benefit Special Olympics Colorado. The Switchbacks organization was responsible for raising over $2,000 which was among the top numbers of non-sponsoring organizations.
