Switchbacks Sell-Out First Ever Game at Weidner Field

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC News Release
Colorado Springs, CO - On Saturday, June 23rd, the Colorado Springs Switchbacks played Fresno FC in front of a full house of 5,000 fans at Weidner Field for the first sell-out crowd in Switchbacks history. The fans went home happy after Shane Malcolm scored off of a free kick from about 25 yards out in the last four minutes of the game. The fireworks after the game kept the celebration going for a memorable night under the stars.
The Switchbacks stay home on June 30th to face San Antonio FC on World Cup Night where the first 500 fans in attendance will receive a vuvuzela courtesy of Weidner Apartment Homes. Tickets start at just $12 and are available here. Fans 21+ can get $1 beer the first 30 minutes when gates open at 5:00 PM. The Switchbacks will then have a quick turnaround when they face Orange County SC on July 3rd for Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza night where the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a scarf presented by Oakwood Homes.
