Colorado Springs, CO - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today the club has signed Gabe Robinson on loan from Las Vegas Lights FC for the remainder of the 2020 season.

Robinson as voted by Las Vegas fans as the team's MVP for the 2019 season after recording 183 clearances, 32 blocks, and 36 interceptions in 33 games during his rookie year as a professional.

"Gabe is an athletic defender that had an excellent first season in the USL Championship last year," said Switchbacks Head Coach, Alan Koch. "With our small squad and numerous upcoming games, we are fortunate to be able to loan him from Vegas to join our group for the rest of this season. We look forward to integrating Gabe into our team as quickly as possible."

The defender played his 4-year collegiate career with Cal State - Northridge, where he had the opportunity of participating in a pair of NCAA Tournaments (2013 & 2016). He's a threat with long throw-ins, giving his teammates opportunities to score from them with his ability to get the ball in the box.
