Switchbacks FC Announce Retirement of Aaron Wheeler

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today that Aaron Wheeler has officially retired from professional soccer.

Wheeler has had an extensive soccer career making his first debut in 2010 signing with FC Tampa Bay. After playing with multiple teams and battling injuries, Wheeler decided to retire from soccer in 2017. Missing the pitch, Wheeler came out of retirement to play for the Switchbacks in 2022. Throughout his Switchbacks career, he made 48 appearances, played 814 minutes, and scored four goals. Wheeler was a late game force for the Switchbacks, subbing on several times and making incredible game changing moves.

Aaron Wheeler has been a phenomenal soccer player and the Switchbacks thank him for being such a key player for the team.
