Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC News Release
Colorado Springs, Colo. (Wednesday, April 22, 2015) - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC will hit the road this weekend in hopes of securing the team's third win in a row.
The Switchbacks FC (2-2-0) plan to even out the series with the Austin Aztex (2-3-0), despite the difficult surface that is House Park. The two teams last met in the Switchbacks' first-ever USL regular-season match, where the Aztex bested the Switchbacks 1-0 in a scrappy, penalty-driven match. Now, the Switchbacks are looking for revenge.
The Aztex join the Switchbacks FC in being one of the new teams to the USL's professional division this season. The Aztex spent the past three years playing in the USL's PDL.
This weekend's match won't be the last meeting between these two teams. The Switchbacks FC and Aztex will meet two more times - at Sand Creek Stadium on July 3rd and September 9th.
