Rochester RazorSharks News Release
(Webster, New York)....The Rochester RazorSharks professional basketball team will jump into the pool at the Webster Aquatic Center on Friday night, December 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and area basketball fans can join them in the water for fun and games. The defending American Basketball Association champions and the Webster Aquatic Center are teaming up to give the general public an opportunity to "Swim with the Sharks" and enjoy the state-of-the-art aquatic facilities at 875 Ridge Road in Webster, on the campus of Webster Schroeder High School.
The RazorSharks regularly use the Webster Aquatic Center for team water workouts, utilizing the low impact training that in-pool workouts offer. "With the regular pounding the players take on the hardwood court, the water workouts offer a low impact training session that helps us get through the regular season" said RazorSharks Head Coach Rod Baker.
"Swim with the Sharks" is a family event and free and open to the public. Fans in attendance will get a chance to shoot around with the team (in the water and out), get their favorite player's autograph, meet the Lady Sharks Dance Team and register to win RazorShark memorabilia and pool passes. The first 250 fans will receive a commemorative basket-beach-ball.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
