Game between Dragones and Slam suspended

December 8, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Tijuana Dragons News Release

The game between Tijuana Dragones and Belingham Slam that would be the home opener for Tijuana, was suspended due to a very slippery court.

The maintenance of the Municipal Auditorium is the responsibility of the local sports authorities (the municipal sports Institute) and they "clean" the court with an oily substance that didn't get dry for the start of the game.

The game was suspended with 5:53 to play in the first quarter, with a 13-12 score in favor of the Dragones, after a few players fell down due to the court's conditions.

Both clubs wil try to reschedule this game.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
