Riverhawks Owner Purchases Another Team

Davenport - Quad City Riverhawks (5-2) owner Tom McGinn has purchased an existing ABA team and will call them the Sauk Valley Rollers (formerly Hammond Rollers.) The team will call the Sterling/Rock Falls area home.

The Sauk Valley Rollers are coached by former Thunder and Illinois great Kenny Battle. The Rollers first home game in their new city is December 28.

The Riverhawks next home game is tonight at 7:05pm against the St. Louis Stunners. Fans are asked to bring an unwrapped toy for the "Toys for Tots" drive and fans bringing a gift will receive a complimentary ticket with the purchase of a ticket.

The Riverhawks take to the court Sunday, December 10 as they "Bring Back the Thunder" for their 7:05pm game with Peoria. The Riverhawks signed former Thunder great Barry Sumpter as their 13th man for the game. Fans wearing Thunder gear will receive a complimentary ticket with the purchase of a ticket or can bring in the church bulletin for the same offer.

Tickets are available by logging onto www.etix.com, visiting the Riverhawks office at the NW Bank Tower in Bettendorf or are at Marycrest College Activity Center prior to the game.
