
Sweets to Offer Free Community Baseball Clinic on June 13

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Walla Walla Sweets in partnership with Family Medical Center are excited to offer the Free Community Baseball Clinic for local youth on Friday, June 13.
The baseball clinic which is for all area youth will be held at Borleske Stadium from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M. with registration beginning at 8:30 A.M. Kids in attendance will receive baseball instruction from Sweets coaches Mark Michaud and Cesar Lopez, and Sweets players from the 2014 roster. Family Medical Center will be on site with their mobile unit offering $10 sports physicals and $10 dental exams. Parents will need to accompany their child to the stadium in order for the child to receive an exam. The Sweets have also partnered with Banner Bank to provide food for campers in attendance. Banner Bank will be present at Borleske Stadium offering hot dogs, chips, soda, water, and ice cream.
"It is our mission to give back to the community that has shown support for our team since the beginning, and we are fortunate to partner with great local businesses like Family Medical Center and Banner Bank who share this mission," offered Sweets president and chief operating officer Zachary Fraser.
The Sweets continue their season tonight at Borleske Stadium against the Kelowna Falcons in the first game of a three-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 P.M.
