Sweetland Comes Back to Rochester

(Rochester, February 26)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that the Florida Panthers (NHL) have reassigned forward Andrew Sweetland to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Sweetland, 22, comes back to Rochester after a one-game stint with the Florida Everblades (ECHL). In Florida he had three assists on the four goals scored by the Everblades. He comes to Rochester where he has appeared in 40 games this season. The 6-foot-2, 204-pound native of Bonavista, Newfoundland has registered two assists to go along with 10 PIM.

He will rejoin Rochester in time for a three-game weekend which kicks off on Friday, February 27th.The Amerks will travel north of the border to take on the Hamilton Bulldogs in a North Division showdown at Copps Coliseum. The 7:30 p.m. contest will be the seventh of eight meetings between the two teams this season and will be broadcast live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and AHL Live.
