Atlantic City Surf News Release
Atlantic City, N.J. - Having won four in a row on the road, including a three-game sweep against the Ottawa Rapidz, the Atlantic City Surf are currently at the top of the Can-Am League's standings with a 7-3 record. The team returns to the Garden State for a seven-game homestand starting Friday night against the Quebec Capitales, who currently own the league's best overall record.
The weekend's games also feature a variety of promotions:
Friday night marks the team's eighth fireworks display of the season, presented by Bernie Robbins Jewelers. The United States Postal Service will also be on hand to unveil its new "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" postage stamp, and to collect new and gently used baseball equipment to distribute to children worldwide.
Saturday night has been designated as "Strike Out Autism Night." The Surf will wear specially-designed autism awareness jerseys, which will be auctioned off throughout the weekend. Ventnor-based FACES of Autism and Philadelphia-based Autism Speaks will also be distributing literature in the concourse.
On Sunday, all children 12 and under will be able to get into the game for free, and can run the bases after the game.
