In game one of a doubleheader, Quebec scored four runs in the fifth inning on their way to a 4-1 victory at New Jersey. The Capitales used three singles and doubles by 2B Josh Colafemina and SS Jose Contreras to score all the runs they'd need in the contest. Orlando Trias allowed just three hits and one run in seven innings to earn the win and improve to 4-0 with Quebec. Colafemina finished with two hits as did C Pat D'Aoust and 1B Pat Scalabrini.

Quebec 8, New Jersey 6 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

In game two, Quebec scored single runs in the first three innings and five more in the top of the seventh to sweep the doubleheader with an 8-6 victory. Led by DH Luke Allen's three-run homer, the Jackals rallied to score six times after two were out in the bottom of the seventh, but fell short. Quebec 3B Pat Deschenes was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and an RBI. RF Alex Nunez doubled and drove in three runs with a 2-for-4 performance. Michel Simard went the first six innings, struck out four and allowed no earned runs. With the win he improves to 8-1.

The game between Nashua and Brockton was postponed due to rain. The game will be played as part of a doubleheader (two seven inning games) at Nashua, NH on Monday, July 28 beginning at 6:05PM.
