
Surge Walk It off for Fifth in a Row

Wichita, KS -- Edouard Julien led the Wind Surge to a 7-6 victory over the Arkansas Travelers on Saturday night with a three-run, walk off homer in the bottom of the ninth. It was Wichita's fifth straight win.
After Arkansas took an early 3-0 lead, Chris Williams hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning to shrink the lead to one. Williams later added a two-run RBI double that scored Andrew Bechtold and Cole Sturgeon to give the Surge a 4-3 lead.
The Travelers scored the next three runs, including two in the top of the ninth to take a 6-4 lead. Shortstop Riley Unroe hit an RBI triple to score Tanner Kirwer and Unroe scored on a wild pitch
Notes: DaShawn Keirsey Jr. extended his hit streak to seven games and tallied his team-leading 26th stolen base... Williams hit his fifth home run and tallied his 18th RBI in the series... The Surge tallied their eighth walk-off victory of the season...
Coming Up: The Wind Surge and the Travelers will face off in the series finale tomorrow, July 17th. First pitch is at 1:05 and gates open at noon.
