Newark, NJ- After a 50 minute rain delay, The Bears came right out and took advantage of Andy High, forcing him to walk the bases loaded in the first inning. High had two outs on the board, but Wil Quintana dropped a single into rightfield to plate two runs. Danny Clyburn, The All-Star Home run derby champ, Hadn''t hit a homer in three weeks until now. He blasted a three-run shot off High to give the bears the 5-0 lead.

The Surf came back with two runs in the fourth, and two more in the sixth to make it a one-run game. Raul Marval had three hits, two of them RBI doubles. Jose Velazquez added two doubles himself to give him eight in eight games, but it wasn''t enough.

The Surf couldn''t get that much needed fifth run as they lost 5-4 to Jamie Navarro and the Bears. Tommorows game will start at 6:05pm so you can listen in on 1490 am, your home for Surf baseball.
