The Atlantic City Surf defeated the Long Island Ducks 6-1 Tuesday night at Citibank Park. Surf southpaw Dave Carroll went the distance, scatterring six hits and allowing just one run, which was earned.
Ric Johnson was 4-for-5 for the Surf and Jose Velasquez was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. It was the second straight complete ganme pitched by a Surf hurler as on Monday night Ismael Villegas went the distance for Atlantic City. The Surf are now 33-12 in the second half of the season as the club drives toward the second half championship in the South.
Atlantic City lands in Bridgeport for three games beginning tonight at 6:35 p.m.
