The Camden Riversharks scored six runs in the second including two homeruns from Stoney Briggs and Brad Strauss to defeat the Atlantic City Surf, 12-1, Friday night in front of the second largest crowd of the season, 6646 fans at the Sandcastle. The Expressway Series is now tied at seven games a piece.
Camden scored four more funs in the fifth capped by a monstrous two-run homer off the bat of Francisco Morales.
Angel Pena added a two run shot of his own in the sixth to extend Camden''s lead to 10 runs.
The Surf scored its lone run in the second when Camden starter Delvis Pacheco walked Tim Garland with the bases loaded to score Brandon Jackson who singled.
Camden started Delvis Pacheco pitched a solid six innings allowing only one run on five hits while striking out four and walking four.
Matt Wagner took the loss lasting only four innings giving up nine earned runs on nine hits in his first outing with Atlantic City.
The game was concluded halfway through the ninth inning due to a rainout. Therefore the end of the eighth inning will be the legal final score of 12-1.
ON DECK: The Atlantic City Surf and Camden Riversharks will play the final game of their three-game series tomorrow night at the Sandcastle at 6:35.
