Surf Confirm Spring Training Schedule for 2003 Season

Atlantic City Surf News Release
The Atlantic City Surf today confirmed the dates and times for the organization's Spring Training Schedule for the 2003 Season.
The Surf will open spring training on April 16th with a team workout starting at 10:00AM at The Sandcastle and conclude with the final exhibition game on April 29th. During spring training Atlantic City will hold daily workouts open to the public beginning at 10AM until the exhibition schedule begins. The Surf's opponents for exhibition games will be Villanova University and the Camden Riversharks.

Friday, 4/25 Surf vs. Camden @ Campbell's Field 6:30PM
Saturday, 4/26 Camden vs. Surf @ The Sandcastle 3:00PM
Sunday, 4/27 Camden vs. Surf @ Historic Alden Field in Bridgeton, NJ 1:30PM
Monday, 4/28 Surf vs Camden @ Campbell's Field 3:30PM
Tuesday, 4/29 Camden vs. Surf @ The Sand Castle 2:00PM
A $2.00 admission fee will be charged for the Villanova game with all proceeds going to the Villanova Baseball program. Admission to the Bridgeton game is $1.00 for children (12 & under) and $3.00 for adults with all ticket proceeds going to the Bridgeton Recreation Programs and American Legion Baseball. Also, all concession stand proceeds for the Bridgeton game will benefit the Bridgeton Babe Ruth Baseball and Bridgeton Little League program.
Surf General Manager Mario Perrucci stated, "we have had a tremendous amount of positive response from fans emailing and calling the team because they are happy to see we will be training here in Atlantic City." Perrucci was also pleased to mention, "the exhibition game in Bridgeton will allow us to promote our programs and ticket packages to the citizen's of Cumberland County while showcasing Atlantic League baseball at a historic and unique ball field."
Atlantic City opens the season on May 1 at Nashua and opens its home season on May 9 against Long Island at The Sandcastle. The home opener will include a magnetic schedule giveaway and the first of seventeen post game fireworks displays that the Surf will present during the 2003 season.
