
"Superman" Wins Weekly Award

The af2 League Office has awarded Blizzard WR/LB Robert "Superman" Garth a weekly league award, the Cutters Catch of the Week, for his 1st quarter 7-yard TD catch in the win over the Firecats. The award honors the player who had the best catch of all the games played in a week. Garth's TD was the first points scored in the big win over the top-ranked Firecats.
The Blizzard, winners of 3 in a row and 6 of their last 7, are looking to pull even with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers for the East Division lead.

Kids Camp News:
The Blizzard is also holding the 2nd annual Kids Camp tomorrow, Thursday, July 6th from 10:30am-12:00noon. Conducted by the Blizzard Coaching Staff and players, the camp will feature an authentic practice session, complete with a warm-up stretch and exercises. Then the kids will move on to 4 different stations where they will learn how to throw passes, run routes/catch passes, catch kicks off the nets, and block like the linemen do.
The cost of the Kids Camp is $10 per participant, and everyone who takes part in the camp will receive a voucher for a free ticket to the Blizzard game against the Manchester Wolves the following night, Friday, July 7th, for the first-ever Indoor Fireworks Show, presented by Kafka Granite Décor and Prevea Sports medicine.
