Peoria Rough Riders News Release

The Peoria Rough Riders would like to thank the loyal fans of Peoria and the surrounding area for their support of Cystic Fibrosis.

Pittsburgh won Super Bowl XL, but Cystic Fibrosis was the big winner at the Super Bowl party hosted by American Pi, 99X (WIXO), 95.5 WGLO, Miller and the Peoria Rough Riders Sunday night. More than $1,000 was raised for the charity through auctions and raffles. The Super Bowl party drew nearly 300 fans and received lots of great coverage in local media.

"We would like to thank our host American PI, 99X,WGLO and Miller for allowing us to be a part of this great event" stated General Manager Eric Hutchins. "This was a wonderful event to kickoff our drive towards a great 2006 season."

The Rough Riders begin their second season of play in United Indoor Football March 25 at Carver Arena at Peoria Civic Center. Plenty of good season tickets are still available, but act quickly to get the best seats. For more information on the Rough Riders call 309-637-7777 or log on to www.peoriaroughriders.com.
