Charleston, WV: Leading 8-5 going to the bottom of the eighth, the Suns gave up two runs in both the eighth and ninth innings to lose 9-8 to the West Virginia Power on Monday night. Nick Evans hit a monster shot, Leivi Ventura hit his eighth homer, and Jonel Pacheco hit two homeruns, and it still wasn't enough. Hagerstown (25-39) has scored 24 runs on 49 hits in the first four games of their five game road trip, yet are only 2-2 because they've given up 28 runs on 51 hits.
Tuesday will be the finale of the Suns five game road trip at 7:05pm. LHP Rafael Lluberes (3-3) will throw against the Suns RHP Deolis Guerra (1-3). The Power follow the Suns back to Hagerstown for two games starting Wednesday at 7:05pm. It begins the Suns five game homestand that ends the first half. For tickets call 301-791-6266.
