Greenville, SC: For the eighth straight game an opposing starter shut down the Suns bats enroute to a 3-2 loss. Mike Bowden (8-5) went five innings and gave up just one run on two hits to earn the win. Bobby Parnell (5-9) went seven solid innings, giving up three runs on seven hits, but got the loss. The Suns (19-26) actually had an early 1-0 lead after the top of the first when Nick Evans brought in Hector Pellot with and RBI single, and managed to make it a one run game when Leivi Ventura doubled and scored in the ninth on a Jesus Gamero groundout, but Drew Butera grounded out as the tying run at the plate to end the game.

The Suns come back home for a four game homestand against the Greensboro Grasshoppers starting Thursday at 7:05pm. It will be Thirsty Thursday/Ladies Night, and Bike Night in game one.
