Columbus Catfish News Release

Columbus, GA - The Columbus Catfish and The Salvation Army invite you to celebrate Christmas in August at Golden Park when the 'Fish face the Greenville Drive at 7:00pm on Saturday, August 12. Keeping with the spirit of giving that surrounds the holiday season, fans that make a donation of two non-perishable food items at the ticket window will get a free general admission ticket to that night's game. The Catfish office will be open at 10:00am Saturday to accept non-perishable food donations.

When the game starts forget about the August weather, kick back and relax to favorite holiday tunes. Between innings we'll find out who the fastest (and neatest) gift wrapper is and who can eat the most gingerbread cookies. Visit our mascot, "Santa" Hook, and let him know what you want under your tree. For safety purposes, all reindeer flights have been cancelled because after the game we'll have a Fireworks Extravaganza!

The Catfish will begin a four-game home series against the Drive on Thursday, August 10. After taking a day off Columbus will host a four-gamer against the Kannapolis Intimidators. For tickets or more information call (706) 571-8866 or visit ColumbusCatfish.com.
