
Suns Dropped in Rubber Match by Wahoos 5-1

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns (3-5, 32-45) were dropped in the rubber match against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (4-4, 29-47) 5-1 Friday night from Pensacola Bayfront Stadium.
Tim Adleman (W, 4-6) generated six innings allowing one run (earned) on eight hits while walking one and striking out seven. Scott Lyman (L, 0-3) in his start for Jacksonville worked four and a third innings allowing two runs (both earned) on six hits while walking two and striking out six. Kyle McMyne (S, 6) earned the save for Pensacola generating a scoreless inning and a third for his sixth save of the year.
The scoring would begin when the lead off batter for the Wahoos in the bottom of the first Ray Chang (HR, 1), blasted a solo home run to give his squad a 1-0 lead.
In the bottom of the fourth frame Pensacola scratched across another solo run after Seth Mejias-Brean reached via a leadoff single, to then steal second, and move to third on a sac fly, for Sean Buckley's RBI single making it a 2-0 ballgame.
In the top of the fifth, the Suns worked runners on the corners after a pair of singles from Kenny Wilson and J.T. Riddle to then be followed up by a David Adams RBI base knock making it a 2-1 deficit for Jacksonville.
In the bottom of the sixth, after a double from Juan Perez, that would be followed up two batters later with Juan Duran's RBI bloop single that fell out of the glove of Suns second baseman Terrence Dayleg, scored Perez and made it 3-1.
Flashing to the seventh Kyle Skipworth led off the frame with a double then to score courtesy of an error on Suns first baseman Viosergy Rosa on a Juan Perez ground ball. Jacksonville now trailed 4-1 through seven frames of play.
With two runners on Jesse Winker's RBI ground rule double in the eighth would score Juan Silva and make it 5-1 Wahoos.
The Suns bullpen would see Chipper Smith, Blake Logan, Scott McGough, and Fabian Williamson churn up three and allow three runs (two earned).
The Suns will head home to take on the Chattanooga Lookouts for the first of five games Saturday night from Bragan Field with a first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. ET. The Suns will send out right-hander Trevor Williams (3-7, 4.57 ERA) while the Lookouts have yet to announce their starter.
