Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns snapped their 5 game skid as they beat the Greensboro Grasshoppers 6-5 on Saturday. Will Vogl had a big day, going 2-4, with 2 RBIs and a run scored. Jonel Pacheco added 2 hits and an RBI and Nick Evans continued his solid year as he went 1-4, with an RBI and run scored. Evans now has a team-leading 64 driven in.
Sunday's game will feature Zac Clements, the Suns' knuckleball pitcher will be making his 1st start at Municipal Stadium beginning at 5:35pm. The series finale will feature the Suns' first ever Pint Glass Giveaway and another post-game Fireworks show. The first 1,000 fans will receive a commemorative pint glass that includes a uniquely designed baseball etched into the bottom of the glass, thanks to Value City Furniture. As always, Sunday will include standard promotions such as "Herald-Mail Family Sundays." Also, Suns players will be signing autographs in the Hagerstown Trust Plaza prior to the game as part of "Suns on Sundays" promotion sponsored by Cool 95.9FM. Plus, kids can go on the field and enjoy a pre-game story read by Suns players during Suns Story Time, presented by the Washington County Arts Council, and after the game it's another Fireworks Extravaganza show presented by U.S. Cellular and The Herald-Mail. Following the fireworks, Antietam Cable Advertising, Mini Melts and the Suns invite all kids on the field to run the bases.
