
Rome Defeats Augusta in 13

Rome, GA -Rome and Augusta went head to head for 13 innings at State Mutual Stadium with the Braves taking the win 3-2 before 4, 065 fans in a three hour 38 minute affair.
The GreenJackets took the lead 1-0 in the second inning on a run scoring single from Mike Mooney. The Braves tied the game in the sixth on an Eric Campbell solo shot (17). With the home run, Campbell became the Rome Braves all time home run leader.
Rome took the lead 2-1 in the eighth inning thanks to a catcher's interference call with the bases loaded to score Quentin Davis. Augusta bounced right back to tie the game 2-2 when Adalberto Paulino singled with one out to score Mike Mooney who had doubled and stole third base.
Rome won the game 3-2 in the bottom of the 13th when Eric Campbell doubled to right to lead off the inning. It was Campbell's fourth hit of the night. He later scored on a Josh Morris single to win the game for the Braves.
Rome's Rudy Quinonez earns the victory in relief (2-1) and Taylor Wilding took the loss for the Augusta (2-1).
