Sundogs Raise Almost $19,000 for Charity in First of Four Jersey Auctions

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League announced Monday that the Club raised nearly $19,000 for charity in the first of four live jersey auctions to benefit The Arizona Sundogs Foundation this season.
The Sundogs wore special vintage-themed uniforms in a game against the Texas Brahmas on Friday, Dec. 19. The throwback uniforms resembled styles first worn by the National Hockey League's 'Original Six'. The jerseys featured the Sundogs' primary 'S' logo encased in a circle with the team's name, a feature previously used by the Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins.
In a live auction following the game, The Arizona Sundogs Foundation collected $18,700 for charity and its six 'Team Up For Hope' partners. In nine specialty jersey auctions in the franchise's first two-and-a-half years, the Club has raised nearly $250,000 for non-profit agencies throughout Northern Arizona.
The Sundogs are slated to wear specialty jerseys three additional times this season. The dates and themes for the three remaining specialty jersey nights have yet to be determined. For more information, please contact the Arizona Sundogs at (928) 772-5555.
