Arizona Sundogs News Release

The Arizona Sundogs (15-18-4) completed a three-game road trip Monday afternoon, dropping all three contests.

On Friday, the Sundogs kicked off the second half of their season suffering their worst setback since an 8-2 loss to the Rapid City Rush on December 17, falling 9-3 to the Tulsa Oilers at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The nine goals match a Sundogs franchise record for most goals allowed in a game, a mark first set during the 2008 CHL Playoffs in a 9-2 loss to the Laredo Bucks.

On Saturday, the Wichita Thunder handed the Arizona Sundogs their fourth straight road loss and second setback in a row overall, doubling-up the visiting club, 6-3, at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas.

Despite holding the league's best team to just 19 shots, including four in the first and third periods, on Monday afternoon, the Arizona Sundogs dropped their third straight game and fifth in a row away from Tim's Toyota Center, falling 4-3 to the Allen Americans. Arizona outshot Allen 42-19 in the contest and held a combined 29-8 advantage in shots in the first and third periods.

Arizona opens a season-long nine-game homestand with three straight against the Odessa Jackalopes beginning Wednesday at 7:05pm. Tickets start at just $12 and are available by phone at 1-866-4-GET-TIX (1-866-443-8849), online at www.GetTix.net and in person at the Tim's Toyota Center Box Office.
