Tulsa’s Jack Combs Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

TEMPE, AZ (January 17, 2011) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa forward Jack Combs has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending January 16, 2011.

CHL Scoring Leaders

Combs helped fuel the Oilers big weekend that saw them dismantle both the Arizona Sundogs (9-3) and the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs (7-3). The St. Louis, Missouri native scored a hat trick and had an assist in Friday ‚¬â„¢s thumping of the Sundogs and then followed that up with a goal and an assist versus the Mudbugs. For the week, Combs had four goals and two assists and was a +5.

His recent hot goal scoring stretch has vaulted the 5-11, 193-pound forward to the top of the league totaling 24 goals and his 45 points are tied for seventh in the league. Combs has scored nine goals in his last six games.
