Killer Bees Acquire Forward Cheesman from IceMen

The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey announced on Monday that they have completed a trade with the Evansville IceMen sending blueliner Jake Obermeyer to the IceMen and will receive forward Bo Cheesman (cheese-man).

Cheesman, in his sixth professional season, has nine goals and 14 assists in his 37 games this season. Chessman will provided a scoring punch for the Bees racking up three double-digit goal seasons including a 30 goal season in 2007-08 with the Alaska Aces of the ECHL.

"Bo brings experience and talent to our offensive corps." Killer Bees head coach Chris Brooks stated. "He has a history of success at this level which we look for him to continue."

Defenseman Jake Obermeyer, in his first year with the Bees, will bring his four goals and 12 assists to the IceMen. Obermeyer played last season, his first professional, with the Amarillo Gorillas.

The Killer Bees are set to face the Laredo Bucks on Tuesday evening at the Laredo Energy Arena. There is a viewing party for the game being held at The Office Bar & Grill on Pecan Blvd. in McAllen and the Bees return to the Hive January 21 hosting the Allen Americans at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 843- PUCK (7825) or visiting killerbeehockey.com.
