Arizona Sundogs News Release


Arizona heads into the week winless in their last five (0-3-2). They currently sit in second place in the Southwest Division with a 19-9-3 record, two points back of division-leading Odessa.

Sundogs Storylines:

- The Sundogs currently own a team-worst five-game winless streak (0-3-2).

- Arizona's Tyler Redenbach had his league-best 21-game scoring streak snapped in a 5-3 loss to New Mexico on Friday, Jan. 4, his first game back with the Sundogs since returning from the Rampage (AHL). It was the first time he had failed to register a point with Arizona this season. The Regina, Saskatchewan native ranks fourth in the CHL in scoring with 46 points (12g/34a).

- Alex Leavitt ranks seconds in the CHL in scoring with 50 points (19g/31a).

- The Sundogs powerplay is the best in the CHL at 24.75% and has tallied the most PP goals in the league (50) but have gone just 2-for-23 with the man advantage during their five-game skid.

- The Sundogs were 12-1 when scoring first in their first 13 games but have lost three-straight when tallying the game's first goal (Dec. 29 vs. Laredo, Dec. 31 vs. New Mexico and Jan. 4 at New Mexico).
