St. Charles Chill News Release

St. Charles, Mo. - For the second straight night the Chill lost a tough one by one goal to the Arizona Sundogs at The Family Arena. After falling behind 1-0 and again at 2-1, St. Charles came back twice to tie it but never took the lead as Arizona goalie Andrew Engelage came up with some phenomenal stops to keep the Chill offense at bay.

Dion Campbell netted his second of the season just over five minutes into the opening frame to give Arizona (4-8-1) an early lead but the Chill would respond quickly as Kyle O'Kane scored his team-high fifth goal that tied the game at 1-1 with Tony DeHart getting the helper. With just over five minutes left in the period Arizona would take back the lead when Paul McIlveen turned a turnover into a 2-1 Sundog advantage.

It was the rookie Phil Bushbacher who tied the game back up with his third goal and fourth point in five games. St. Charles (2-7-2) crashed the net with Ryan Berard and Justin Levac pounding away at the loose puck in the crease before Bushbacher jammed it home to tie the score at 2-2.

About seven minutes later it was the Sundog captain Jason Morgan scoring on assists from McIlveen and Alex Tuckerman to push the lead back in the favor of Arizona 3-2.

The third period finished scoreless but it was not without chances for the Chill who finished the night 1-for-6 on the power play but could not convert a 5-3 opportunity late in the third period with Engelage coming up with several big stops.

St. Charles is back on the ice Wednesday at 7:05 as they battle the Brampton Beast at The Family Arena. Single-game tickets start as low as $5 and are available through MetroTix and at The Family Arena box office.
