Prescott Valley, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs downed the St. Charles Chill Friday night at Tim's Toyota Center in front of 2,382 fans giving them the 4-1 win. The Sundogs continue to inch closer to the seventh place playoff spot, as they are only one point behind the Tulsa Oilers.

St. Charles opened the first frame scoring 3:44 into the period with an unassisted goal from Ryan Berard. 10 minutes later Shawn Limpright tied the game, putting Arizona on the board with assists from Jason Morgan and Bryan Cameron. Kevin Baker tallied the game winning goal 5:38 into the second period from David Rutherford and Matt McCready.

The Sundogs furthered their lead in the third period when Rutherford scored a power play goal after the Chill's Zack Josepher was given two minutes for cross checking. With 1:57 left in the period Sundogs' Michael Trebish was called for boarding sending Arizona on the penalty kill for the remaining minutes. Looking to gain the edge St. Charles elected to pull their goalie for the extra attacker but the Sundogs found the back of the net when Johan Ryd scored a shorthanded empty net goal.

Andrew Engelage made 27 saves. Arizona outshot St. Charles 29-28. The Sundogs were 1-3 on the man-advantage while the Chill were 0-2. The two teams meet again tomorrow night, their final match-up of the regular season.
