Sundogs Announce Preseason Game at Colorado on Oct. 9

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League, in conjunction with the Colorado Eagles, today announced they will play a preseason contest against the Northern Conference club on Friday, Oct. 9 at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo.

The exhibition game will be broadcast live on ‘Cattle Country' KDDL 94.3 FM, the Official Radio Home of Arizona Sundogs Hockey, beginning at 6:05pm (Arizona time). Fans will also be able to listen online at www.cattlecountryradio.com.

"We are excited to take the ice against the Colorado Eagles in conjunction with our training camp in early-October," said Arizona Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro. "Preseason games provide an excellent opportunity to see how players will perform and react in real-game situations prior to making final player selections."

Friday, Oct. 9 will mark the third preseason meeting between the two franchises. Arizona is 4-1-1 all-time in preseason games and 2-0-0 against the Eagles with both wins coming in overtime at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland prior to the start of the 2006-07 season.

The Sundogs are set to open the 2009-10 regular season at home at Tim's Toyota Center on Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct. 17 against the expansion Allen Americans.
