LUBBOCK, TX: February 25, 2006 - The Lubbock Cotton Kings originally scheduled contest on January 22nd against the Amarillo Gorillas will be played this Sunday at 5:05 PM inside the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum. The game was postponed on the game's originally scheduled date due to unplayable conditions inside the arena.
Fans with ticket stubs from the originally scheduled game, who are not season ticket holders, must trade in their tickets at the Cotton Kings offices or at the arena box office prior to the game. Season ticket holders may enter with their original ticket stubs, as they will receive their same seats. The City of Lubbock, which accepted the blame for the rink's conditions that caused the postponement, will offer $1 hot dogs to all fans. Any ticket questions in regards to Sunday's game can be directed answered by contacting the Kings offices at 747-PUCK (7825).
In other Cotton Kings news, the Kings have teamed up with Texas Roadhouse and White Knight's Limo Service to promote the "King of the Road" contest. Two fans will have the chance to win two Gold Level tickets for the Kings regular season home finale on March 25th, dinner for two at Texas Roadhouse and a limo ride by White Knight's through the entire experience. Entry for the contest is $2, and fans can enter at any Cotton Kings game or by stopping by the Kings offices (13th and University).
The Kings return to the ice tonight, hosting the Amarillo Gorillas at the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum. The Kings will be wearing "Biker Jerseys," which will be auctioned off during and after the game.
