Sun Players To Participate In Charity Golf Event

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (June 24, 2009) - Members of the Connecticut Sun basketball team will be on hand Monday at Mohegan Sun Country Club at Pautipaug in Baltic for the second annual Connecticut Sun Foundation Golf Tournament.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Connecticut Sun Foundation, a 501 (C) (3) dedicated to supporting athletic and educational endeavors. The Foundation provides educational scholarships to high school seniors, and grants to be used for the refurbishment of basketball courts and equipment.
Registration begins at 11 a.m., and a shotgun start will take place at 12:30 p.m. Following the tournament will be a dinner and live auction with unique player-related experiences. There will also be a silent auction, and prizes will be awarded.
