
Sun Hold Open Practice at Saint Joseph College

UNCASVILLE, CT. (May 3, 2006) - The WNBA's Connecticut Sun will hold an open practice at Saint Joseph College on May 5th.
The practice will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the O'Connell Athletic Center at Saint Joseph College in West Hartford.
The practice will be open to the public. Blaze, the team mascot, will be on hand, and there will be an autograph session immediately following the practice.
Beginning their fourth season in Connecticut, the Sun enjoyed their best season in franchise history last year, compiling a 26-8 record before advancing to the WNBA Finals for the second straight season. With a lineup that includes established stars Nykesha Sales, Taj McWilliams-Franklin, Katie Douglas and Lindsay Whalen, the two-time defending Eastern Conference Champions will be expected to make another strong run at the title this summer.
The Sun open the regular season May 20th at 7 p.m., hosting the New York Liberty at Mohegan Sun Arena. Tickets for all games may be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 877.WNBA.TIX, logging on to www.connecticutsun.com, or by visiting the Mohegan Sun Arena box office.
