
Sugar Skulls Roster up to 20 Players

TUCSON, ARIZONA - The Tucson Sugar Skulls have added five players to their inaugural roster including a local player who participated in the team's open tryout in November.
The signees are:
Alex Rios, offensive line, 6'3", 285 pounds. Rios is the first player signed from the Sugar Skulls' open tryout held Nov. 10. Graduated from Sahuarita High School south of Tucson. Played two years at Pima Community College and was a first-team, All-ACCAC selection his sophomore year. Started 20 games over two seasons at East Tennessee State University and was a second-team, All-Southern Conference selection in his senior year.
Aaron Charleston, defensive tackle, 6'2", 310 pounds. Originally from Denver, Colorado, started his collegiate career at Fort Hays State University and transferred to Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Started eight games in his final year at Washburn.
Troy Grant, wide receiver, 6'3", 200 pounds. Was the leading receiver at Abilene Christian University in his senior season in 2017 with 51 catches for 542 yards and four touchdowns. As a junior had 41 catches for 467 yards and five touchdowns after transferring from Highland Community College in Kansas.
Bryan Miller, wide receiver, 5'10", 181 pounds. Completed his collegiate career with the Benedict College Tigers, an NCAA Division II school in Columbia, South Carolina. Graduated from Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia. Currently lives in Phoenix.
Tyler Ross, wide receiver/defensive back, 5'10", 186 pounds. Attended Hutchinson Community College and Mesa Community College. From Seaside, California.

The Tucson Sugar Skulls are in their first year of operation as an expansion franchise of the Indoor Football League. The team will begin its inaugural season in March with home games at the Tucson Arena.
