Strong Start Not Enough for Chiefs, as Tigers Win 10-4

Medicine Hat, AB - The Spokane Chiefs visited the Medicine Hat Tigers on Sunday afternoon and will be happy to head to the next stop on the Central Swing.

Spokane started the night strong, jumping out to a three-goal lead in the first period with goals from Catton, Cheveldayoff, and Crampton.

Medicine Hat would score their first goal moments before the intermission, and their second goal moments into the second period. After McKenna scored his second of the night for the Tigers, Chase Bertholet was able to add a fourth for Spokane, his sixth goal in the past four games.

The Tigers would not look back, scoring a total of six goals in the second period and another three in the third to take this one 10-4.

The Chiefs finished the night 1/3 on the power play and 0/2 on the penalty kill. Chiefs led the shot count 34-31.

Spokane heads to Lethbridge next, for a Tuesday night contest against the Hurricanes, followed by a visit to Red Deer on Wednesday. Both games feature a 6 PM puck drop PST.

The Chiefs will return to the Spokane Arena on January 19th for Gonzaga Night, Pride Night, and the Fred Meyer Wall Calendar Giveaway.
