
Strong Homers Twice to Lift Blues

In tonight's matchup between the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs and the Bristol Blues, the Blues were able to redeem last night's loss to the Suns with a 5-2 win over the Dawgs.
The Blues were led offensively by Davis Strong (St. Mary's) who launched a homerun in the first inning and then another in the seventh inning to make his homerun total six on the season.
Blues starting pitcher George Lund (Roger Williams) was able to go six innings without allowing a run and adding three strikeouts to the stat line to earn the win. Dirt Dawgs losing pitcher was David Griffin.
The Blues and Dirt Dawgs face-off against each other again Tuesday night at 7pm. The Blues record stands at 25-18 which puts them 3.5 games in first place.
