
Suns Make the Most of 7 Hits in 9-4 Victory over Worcester

Both the Pittsfield Suns (21-21) and the Worcester Bravehearts (17-26) put runners aboard on Sunday, but it was the Pittsfield Suns that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 9-4 win at Fitton Field.
The Worcester Bravehearts were led by Zack Tower's hitting. Tower went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.
Matt Van Riper got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He allowed two runs over five innings. Van Riper struck out three, walked three and gave up four hits.
Bobby Maxwell ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked six and struck out none.
