SAN DIEGO, California - The Strike Force have re-signed defensive back Tareq Abulebbeh to their 2020 Indoor Football League roster.

Abulebbeh (5-9, 181, Southern Illinois University) joins San Diego for his first full season in the IFL. During the 2019 season Abulebbeh joined the Strike Force for one game against Sioux Falls.

"Tareq stepped in for us late in the season, on the road, and impressed our defensive staff with his ability to pick up our schemes nearly on the fly," said Strike Force General Manager Ryan Eucker. "We're looking forward to seeing him compete out of the gates in training camp while getting a full build up toward the 2020 season."

Abulebbeh attended the local community college, San Diego Mesa, where he led the team with six interceptions, including two pick sixes. He tallied up a total of 21 tackles for the 2014 season. From there, he went to Southern Illinois University and saw six game appearances with a total of 16 tackles, but unfortunately had a season-ending injury. Both years at SIU, Abulebbeh was recognized on the MVPF Academic Honor Roll. He finished his collegiate career out at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he had a total of 34 tackles (18 solo and 5 assisted), four kick return attempts with 29 yards, and five interceptions.

The dual sport athlete attended Kearny High School and lead the football team to a winning record his senior year and undefeated conference record.
