San Diego Strike Force News Release
On Sunday May 21st, the San Diego Strike force will host the Duke City Gladiators at Pechanga Arena in San Diego. Kickoff set for 5:05 p.m. CT and the Strike Force are looking to get back in the win column after coming up short in Green Bay last weekend. This game has definitely been circled on the calendar for both teams after the mid-season trade that sent former MVP Nate Davis to San Diego.
The Strike Force offense has definitely felt the impact of Davis arrival, scoring at least 50 in their last two outings, and with Davis throwing for 416 yads and nine touchdowns. Wide receiver Kentrez Bell has been the recipient of 239 of those yards on 16 receptions, and also notching five touchdowns.
Duke City may have found their groove last week beating Tucson 56-49, snapping a three-game losing streak. The Gladiators passing offense looks to be back in form with quarterback Charles McCullum at the helm, and throwing for 150 yads and four touchdowns last week.
The showdown of two veteran quarterbacks, both with historic career numbers, promises for a game full of offensive fireworks.
Also of note is "Mr. Duece Deuce" himself, #22 Ernesto Lacayo of the Gladiators in his return to San Diego where he earned all-league honors in 2019. Currently Lacayo leads the league by far in successful Deuce attempts for the season.
