
'Stormers Finish Sweep of Somerset

Lancaster, Pennsylvania - The Lancaster Barnstormers (5-8, 29-54) handed the Somerset Patriots (5-8, 47-36) their worst loss of the season in a 10-0 rout Thursday evening at Clipper Magazine Stadium.
The Barnstormers struck first with four two-out runs in the bottom of the first inning. An Andrew Aplin two-run single and a Greg Golson two-run double gave Lancaster the early 4-0 lead.
Four more Barnstormers runs came home in the bottom of the fourth. Caleb Gindl grounded into a run-scoring fielder's choice to make it 5-0 before Joe Terdoslavich (14) hit a three-run home run to put the game out of reach.
Lancaster added a Golson RBI single in the bottom of the seventh and a Destin Hood RBI double in the eighth to top off the scoring.
Mike Fransoso tossed an inning of relief in the eighth - his first appearance on the mound since 2015.
Buddy Baumann (W, 4-7) earned the win, scattering four hits and one walk over a complete game shutout. Vince Molesky (L, 3-1) allowed eight runs on nine hits over five and two-thirds innings to take the loss.
The 2019 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford continues on the road until Friday, July 26th when the Patriots return home to host the Long Island Ducks.
