Seattle Storm News Release

This Week's Opponents

Sacramento: The Storm took two of three from the Monarchs last summer, earning the distinction of being the only Western Conference team to win the season series against the eventual WNBA champions. Seattle has gone 5-2 against Sacramento over the last two seasons, though the Monarchs still hold a 12-8 advantage in the all-time series and are 8-2 against the Storm at ARCO Arena.

Phoenix: Seattle won the first meeting of the season 94-81 as Lauren Jackson poured in a career-high and franchise-record 35 points. The win improved the Storm's record to 12-9 all-time against the Mercury. Seattle has won six straight against the Mercury at KeyArena with the average margin of victory of 22.0 points, including a franchise record 41-point win (89-48) on July 19, 2002.

San Antonio: The Storm have won six of the last seven meetings with the Silver Stars to pull even at 10 games apiece in the all-time series. Of Seattle's 10 wins against San Antonio, nine have come by double-digit margins with each of the last three Storm victories being decided by 20-plus points.
