Tri-City Storm News Release
KEARNEY - Nebraska's Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League has announced that the Tri-City Storm will be traveling to the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa on Saturday, September 20th to take on the Omaha Lancers with a 5:05 P.M. face-off.
This will be the first meeting between the Storm and the Lancers with two new faces behind each bench. This will be Tom Rudrud's first game as the bench-boss for the Storm after serving as the assistant coach for 4 years. Bliss Littler, the former head coach of the Storm, is now the head coach of the Lancers. Former Storm players Tom Craig, Ryan Peltoma and Troy Power will be wearing a Lancers sweater for the first time in their USHL careers. This will be the 4th exhibition meeting between the teams in 5 years.
With the Storm having 30 guys on the roster right now, this will be a great chance for the coaching staff to evaluate the players before they have to cut down to the 23-man roster after the Fall Classic.
General admission tickets are now on sale at the Mid-America Center box office for Saturday's game. Tickets are $6 each.
