
Lancers' Pre-Season Game and Tickets On Sale Tomorrow

The Omaha Lancers Hockey Club is set to take the ice for the first time this season when the Tri-City Storm roll into town tomorrow afternoon. Game time is 5:05 pm at the Mid-America Center. All tickets are general admission and are available at the Mid-America Center box office for $6.
The Lancers Booster Club will be hosting Fan Fest prior to tomorrow's game. The pre-game party kicks off at 2 pm and lasts until 4 pm. Admission to Fan Fest is $3 per person and includes a hot dog, chips, dessert and a drink. Lancers players will be available from 2-3 pm to meet with fans and sign autographs. Fan Fest will be held in the North entry of the Mid-America Center. If planning to attend, fans should use the North entrance of the Mid-America Center.
Regular Season Single Game Tickets Go On Sale Tomorrow!
Tickets for the Lancers' 2008-2009 regular season home games will be available for purchase beginning at noon on Saturday, September 20. They can be purchased through the Mid-America Center Box Office, by calling Ticketmaster at 402-422-1212 or online via www.ticketmaster.com. Prices are $15 for rinkside reserved seats and $13 for reserved seats. Seniors (65+), military personnel and students are eligible for a $2 discount.
The Lancers will begin defending their National Championship starting with the first game of the regular season on Friday, October 3 against the Fargo Force. The game will be played at the Mid-America Center and will start at 7:05 pm.
Lancers to Continue Pre-Season Competition at the USHL's Fall Classic
The Fall Classic will take place in Sioux City, IA for the second straight year following a successful inaugural event last fall. The Fall Classic features all 12 United States Hockey League teams each playing three games on September 25, 26 and 27, 2008. Six games will be played each day between the Tyson Events Center's Gateway Arena and the IBP Ice Center. Lancers Change Radio Stations, On Air Entire Season
The Lancers have re-signed a radio deal with Salem Communications, but have switched to 660AM KRCO for the 2008-2009 season. All Lancers home and away games, beginning with the regular season, air live and a broader audience should be reached. Additionally, the Lancers welcome Dan Fremuth as the new voice of the Lancers. Fremuth joins the USHL after stints in the EJHL, NAHL and CHL.
Booster Club Helps Support Iowa Flood Victims
The Omaha Lancers Hockey Booster Club was part of an effort that helped raise over $13,000 for the LSB Foundation-Flood Relief and the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation 2008 Fund. The Club elected to donate $500 to the cause. League events and fundraisers will continue in the coming weeks to raise more money for those affected.
