Storm to Release Limited Number of $10 Tickets For Their WNBA 10th Anniversary Celebration

SEATTLE - The Seattle Storm today announced the on-sale date for the team's "WNBA 10th Anniversary Night" on Tuesday, May 23. In honor of the league's 10th anniversary the Storm will release a limited number of $10 tickets in addition to all regularly priced KeyArena seats. The Storm will honor the league's first decade beginning at 8 p.m. on May 23 at KeyArena when they host the Houston Comets - last season's Seattle opponent in the first round of the WNBA Playoffs.

Single-game tickets for the May 23 Storm vs. Comets game can be purchased beginning at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 5, through TicketMaster locations, by logging on to storm.wnba.com or by calling 1-877-WNBA-TIX. Storm tickets for the May 23 game are also available at the Sonics & Storm Team Shop located at 312 First Ave. on KeyArena's West Plaza.

All fans in attendance at the May 23 game vs. Houston will receive a WNBA 10th Anniversary tattoo. In addition, league pioneer and WNBA inaugural-season player, Wendy Palmer, now a forward with the Storm, will address the KeyArena audience.

The Storm will open their 2006 season against Western Conference rival Los Angeles at KeyArena beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 21. The following Tuesday, May 23, Seattle will host the Houston Comets at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.

Single-game tickets for all of the Storm's 2006 regular-season, as well as and their May 7 preseason game against the New York Liberty at KeyArena, will go on sale Monday, May 1 at 10 a.m. All Storm home games will be played at the Key this summer, the team's seventh season in the WNBA. The Seattle Sonics & Storm organization manages the Puget Sound region's professional basketball franchises - the NBA's Seattle SuperSonics and the WNBA's Seattle Storm. The organization oversees all sales, marketing, finance and basketball operations for the teams. The Basketball Club of Seattle LLC owns both teams.
