Sioux Falls Storm News Release

The Sioux Falls Storm is excited to announce the signing of Jon Williams for the 2011 season.

Williams, a 6'2", 260 pound defensive end, joins the Storm after spending the 2010 season with the San Angelo Stampede. Williams had a remarkable 2010 season leading the IFL in sacks and forced fumbles earning himself a spot on the ALL IFL 1st Defensive Team. The defensive power house finished 2010 with 61 tackles, 19 sacks, 7 forced fumbles and 4 pass break ups.

"Jon has a relentless motor that reminds us of a couple previous great Storm defensive ends," said Todd Tryon, Storm Owner. "We feel Jon's impressive 2010 numbers are just a glimpse of what he will do in our defensive system."

Williams finished his collegiate carrier at Texas College and is no stranger to the indoor game. Williams has previous experience in the AF2 spending 2006 with the Stockton Lightning, 2007 with the Tennessee Valley Vipers, 2008 with the Florida Firecats and 2009 with the Arkansas Twisters.

2011 season tickets are now available and may be purchased at www.siouxfallsstorm.com or by calling the Storm office at (605) 274-6686.
